About Us

Thalia was established in 2004 and is a Registered Charity (No. 1105132)
and a Member of Social Enterprise Norfolk.

Thalia is the Greek Muse of comedy and poetry and the name means to 'flourish and bloom'.

Our Vision:
Thalia Theatre to be recognised Nationally as a 'Centre of Excellence' for arts related
learning and educational provision for disabled people in particular but not exclusively.

Our Values:
A fully inclusive society where everyone's talents and skills are recognised, valued
and celebrated!

Our Purpose:
To provide innovative and inspirational 'arts' related learning opportunities facilitated
and delivered by highly qualified, professional 'arts' practitioners opening doors to
independence, employment pathways and a rich full life.

Thalia Mission Statement

Thalia empowers, educates, encourages, enriches and engages people in
learning through the stimulating, imaginative world of the arts. Thalia enables
people to achieve and excel, explore and express their creativity in a safe secure
environment. Thalia embraces diversity and difference aiming for equality for everyone.

Duty of Care
Thalia is a Norfolk County Council Accredited Day Service provider. We take our
'Duty of Care' very seriously. We are registered with the Safeguarding Adults Board
and have implemented a comprehensive range of policies and procedures. All staff
and volunteers are enhanced CRB checked and hold current First Aid Certificates.
